New Southern Photography at the Ogden

August 4, 2012 By Lee

Beautifully installed by Richard McCabe in the Ogden’s third floor photography galleries, “New Southern Photography” is …”[a]n overview into some of the most exciting and diverse photographic work coming out of the American South today. This exhibition of recent acquisitions to the permanent collection of the Ogden Museum features the work of both emerging and established photographers including: Birney Imes, Kathleen Robbins, Bruce West, S. Gayle Stevens, Andrew Garn, Heidi Kirkpatrick, Alex Leme and many more.”

Opening White Linen Night, August 4, 2012. On view through September 23, 2012.

My video “Plastic Gulf” remains on view during the opening. I am also showing drawings and a photograph in “Louisiana Contemporary” curated by Rene Barilleaux.

The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, 925 Camp Street, New Orleans

Open Wednesdays through Mondays, 10-5.
